Black History Committee attends Celebration

Members of the AHS Black History Committee attended the City of Arkadelphia’s 2024 Black History Month Celebration. Where one of our very own school board members was honored by being inducted into the Class of 2024 Black History Month Honorees.

Members then stopped by the Clark County Historical Museum to visit their “Education in Clark County” exhibit commemorating the 70th anniversary of Brown v. the Board of Education, Topeka.

Junior High Quiz Bowl

Arkadelphia 9th Grade Quiz Bowl team won the 4A Southwest Regional Tournament! Team members include Henry Harrell, Nate Newton, Jacob Calhoon, Spencer Seel, Hayleigh Lynn, Alaina Metcalf, Carly Martin, and Eden Heard.

Hayleigh Lynn earned the Tournament MVP. Hayleigh and Alaina Metcalf were named to the Quiz Bowl All-Star team. They are coached by Mrs. Adrienne Doles. Congratulations 9th Grade Quiz Bowl!

CyberPatriot Team Excels

The AHS Cyberpatriot Open team won the Arkansas Gold Tier Division in the U.S. Cyberpatriot competition in December. They finished 1st over the 2nd place team Ignite Professional Studies in Bentonville and 3rd Place Springdale High School.

This made them eligible to compete in the national semi-finals. The team was recognized with a Badger Pride Award at the January School Board meeting: Blakely Davis, Benjamin Dong, Sephorah Faiq, Tristin Hamilton, Timothy LeVar, and Emma Nelson. They are coached by Vince Herron and sponsored by Clair Mays.

FBLA Dominates District Conference

🎉District Conference Results🎉

The 2024 District IV High School FBLA Conference was held on Wednesday, February 7 in Hope, AR. Arkadelphia FBLA had 60 members in attendance, 57 competitors in 42 events, and 44 competitors in 30 events qualified for the Arkansas State Leadership Conference to be held in April!

Patterson Credit Union Donates for Metal Detectors

We appreciate Patterson Federal Credit Union for generously donating toward the purchase of a new OPENGATE Metal Detector for Arkadelphia High School. This purchase is an incredible enhancement to the process of keeping our students and staff safe. A big THANK YOU to the PFCU customers for using their Badger Cards!
