Best Growth Scores ELA 2023

Arkadelphia High School once again has been recognized by the Office for Education Policy at the University of Arkansas as a school where students demonstrated high growth on the ACT Aspire. AHS was recognized for High ELA Growth in the Southwest Region.

Awards are based on the 2023 content growth score calculated by the Division of Elementary and Secondary Education. These growth scores reflect how much students at the school improved from 2022 compared to how much they were expected to grow considering prior achievement.

Congratulations to AHS students and staff for this outstanding recognition!

RTI Enrichment

Mrs. Edward hosted Biology enrichment sessions where students experienced a hydrolysis reaction where they added water to a particular substance and it produced a flammable gas. When that gas is ignited in a closed space such as a pumpkin, it will explode and dislodge any weak points.

Student Spotlight

A group of AHS students were able to attend and support the CASA of Clark and Pike Counties Light of Hope Breakfast on Thursday morning. Members of GT and Beta Club volunteered to clear tables and clean after the event. EAST Students created a video for the event highlighting CASA volunteers. We were privileged to be a part of this wonderful event.

EAST Students prepared a video for CASA's Light of Hope event that showcased just a few of CASA's #CourtAppointedSpecialAdvocates and their "Why."
