Teachers and Staff return for PD

New Instructional Facilitator, Jill Hardin led on-campus Professional Development and emphasized our incorporation of PLCs and implementation of CKH.

RTI utilizes time to build relationships with students and engage learning

AHS Students spent time in advisory groups the first week of school during RTI. Team building was happening in Mrs. Sarah Brawley’s session when students had the task of creating the tallest tower using only paper and tape. They certainly rose to the challenge!

FFA Welcome to Arkadelphia Cookout

In July, Arkadelphia FFA kicked off the debut of the new program with a cookout sponsored by Patterson Credit Union. The support of our community has been vital in bringing Ag Education to Arkadelphia!

AHS Celebrates Purple Star School Status

Col. John Kaminar of the Arkansas Department of Education presented a banner to AHS. The banner will be displayed on campus and celebrate the recent recognition as a Purple Star School.

Robin Jones, AHS Teacher of the Year

APSD honored educators at the annual Back-to-School Celebration, namely Mrs. Robin Jones. Mrs. Jones will serve as the AHS Teacher of the year for the 2024-2025 school year. Congratulations Mrs. Jones!

Acorn Project supplies Food Bags

Community partners Patterson Federal Credit Union and Clark County Farm Bureau teamed up to pack 600 food bags for APSD students in need and delivered them as well. This was the first packing project for ACORN and we are so appreciative to the community for taking such great care of our students.
