Juniors: Reality CHECKED!

AHS Juniors stepped into the real world—at least financially—during a hands-on Reality Fair led by teacher Stefanie Davis and Nicole McGough from Patterson Credit Union. We appreciate Nicole McGough, Patterson Federal Credit Union, and Stefanie Davis, AHS Parental Engagement Coordinator for organizing this informative event for our juniors.

Armed with a career of their choice, an assigned salary, and family responsibilities, students navigated a series of budget stations—housing, groceries, transportation, and more—staffed by community volunteers. Their mission? Build a balanced budget without going broke! If they overspent, financial advisors stepped in to help them rethink their choices and make adjustments.

The experience wrapped up with a Q&A session, giving students a chance to ask real-world financial questions and gain insights that will serve them long after high school.

A huge thank you to Patterson Credit Union and our amazing community volunteers for making this eye-opening event possible!
