AHS students visited the Siplast plant in Arkadelphia and toured their new facility in Gum Springs. 🏭 Siplast employees led an informative tour and gave students a closer look at the manufacturing process. AHS Band Earned Top Honors at State Concert Assessment 🎶🏆

Congratulations to the AHS Band for earning First Division ratings today at the ASBOA State Concert Assessment in Jonesboro! 🎺🥁 The band took home 1st Division Wind Ensemble and High Points Honor Ensemble among 13 schools in their classification. Incredible job by our talented musicians and directors—way to represent Arkadelphia! 💙

Arkadelphia students and staff wore purple in support of the Purple Up Challenge to honor military children during the Month of the Military Child. 💜 Campuses showed their spirit and raised awareness about the unique challenges faced by children of military families. Camariah Bell Earned Diamond Award for Outstanding Achievement

Congratulations to AHS student Camariah Bell, who earned the prestigious Diamond Award at the Arkansas State Capitol! 🏛️ She was honored for her resilience, perseverance, and commitment to success in the Alternative Education program. Camariah also received a Badger Pride Award at the March School Board meeting. We were proud to celebrate her achievements! 💙🐾

AHS Student Dani Thomason Explored Pediatric Nursing at Arkansas Children’s Hospital! 🌟

AHS student Dani Thomason had the incredible opportunity to shadow nurses in the Emergency Department, NICU, and Infant and Toddler Unit at Arkansas Children’s Hospital. 🏥 Over three days, she spent 12-hour shifts with different nurses, gaining hands-on experience and insight into the fast-paced world of pediatric nursing. This experience helped Dani explore various specialties and solidify her career path in nursing. Dani shared, "It was a great opportunity, and I was able to learn a lot... It made me confident and certain in my career choice of nursing." Thank you, Mrs. Cloninger, for providing students with these real-world opportunities! 💙

AHS Band Students Earn Superior Ratings at Region 2 Solo and Ensemble! 🏅🎵

Four AHS band students competed at Region 2 Solo and Ensemble, with all earning the highest possible rating—Superior (Division 1)! 🌟 A special congratulations to Senior Emma Nelson and Sophomore Ezra Campbell, who qualified to advance to the State Solo and Ensemble Festival at Arkansas Tech University on May 5th! 🎶 We're so proud of their hard work and dedication to their craft. Congratulations to these outstanding musicians!

FBLA NLC Qualifiers

The Arkadelphia High School Chapter of FBLA was recognized in the April School Board meeting for the great success they experienced at the 2025 Arkansas State Leadership Conference. The chapter earned fourth place as the Largest Chapter Membership and received the Hollis & Kitty Guy Gold Seal Chapter of Merit Award. Senior Caiden Dickerson was awarded the Mary Alice Elam Scholarship in recognition of his achievements and contributions. Congratulations to the fourteen competitors placing in the top four and qualifying to compete in this year’s National Leadership Conference in Anaheim, California this summer.

Joslyn Cain

Joslyn was recognized by the AHS RTI Team with this month’s Badger Pride Award! Joslyn exemplifies the CKH (Capturing Kids' Hearts) character trait of courage. She is resilient, never letting adversity define her spirit. In the classroom, Joslyn is just as fearless. She meets academic challenges with focus and persistence, showing her peers and teachers alike what it truly means to persevere. Her work ethic, positive attitude, and unwavering commitment to growth have not gone unnoticed. Way to go, Joslyn!

Hunter Mason

Hunter received a Badger Pride Award at this month’s school board meeting. Hunter was recognized by staff for his incredible leadership in organizing this year’s International Day— that celebrates global cultures through food, artifacts, and student-led presentations. With 10 countries represented, Hunter’s initiative, planning, and dedication helped bring the world to AHS and made the event a huge success!

Way to go, Hunter! Your hard work and passion make us proud to be Badgers!

Jayden Purifoy

Nominated by Ms. Sarah Brawley, Jayden is being recognized for consistently demonstrating the Capturing Kids’ Hearts (CKH) character trait of Courage. In Geometry class, Jayden takes the lead during our “Good Things” time — a daily routine where students share positive moments to start the day off right. Jayden not only encourages his classmates to participate but also models active listening, asks meaningful follow-up questions, and helps create an uplifting classroom environment.

AHS JROTC hosted its Annual Award Ceremony, honoring our dedicated students and their achievements. 🎖️ A special thank you to the community organizations and representatives who attended to present awards to our students. During the ceremony, Seth Molinari took over as the 2025-26 Battalion Commander from outgoing commander Georgia Stockton. Congratulations to all the award recipients and to Seth on his new leadership role!

First Annual FFA Banquet

Arkadelphia Agriculture Education & FFA hosted its first annual FFA Awards Banquet at the Clark County Fairgrounds. It was a special event filled with awards, new officer installations, special guests, and door prizes. Special thanks went to Adviser Sammy Cox and the Arkadelphia FFA Alumni & Supporters, as well as Patterson Federal Credit Union for providing some great food. We looked forward to many more banquets in the years to come.

The Arkansas Governor's Scholastic Honors Day was held on Saturday, May 3, 2025, at the Governor's Mansion in Little Rock. Scholastic Honors Day recognizes high school seniors with top academic achievement from across Arkansas. Seniors Julia Greenwich and Bryce Martin were honored at the event representing Arkadelphia High School. Congratulations, Julia and Bryce!

Grant Reimers named AHS Teacher of the Year!

Congratulations to Freshmen English Teacher Grant Reimers for being named the Arkadelphia High School Teacher of the Year!

Mr. Reimers goes above and beyond every day. On "Dress Like a Teacher Day", some students chose to dress like him. He encourages the students in their academics but also in their extracurricular activities. One student described him this way, “I think it was laying out clear, simple ground rules day one. Your logical, yet lovable demeanor commanded the classroom more than any other teacher.” Thank you, Mr. Reimers, for all you do!

Sydney Covington, Soldiers of Service 2025 Volunteer of the Year

Congratulations to AHS Senior and FCA Leader Sydney Covington for being named the Soldiers of Service 2025 Volunteer of the Year. Sydney helped lead FCA to raise $1000 to donate to the SOS Cancer Awareness Walkathon. The Walkathon begins at 9:45a.m. at Badger Stadium tomorrow. Thank you Jason McCready and SOS!

Badgers compete at SkillsUSA State Conference

Faith Williams and Maggie Phillips recently competed at the SkillsUSA State Conference as members of the ASU Three Rivers SkillsUSA Chapter. Faith earned a silver medal in the Nursing Assistant event. She is taking classes in the CNA Program at ASUTR. Maggie earned a bronze medal in the Health Knowledge Bowl. She is taking classes in the Health Science Program at ASUTR. AHS Students Brady Daniell and Colton Plyer also competed at the conference. Congratulations!

Sailing into Science: AP Physics Boat Challenge

AP Physics 1 students have been studying fluids for their final unit this year. Students in Mrs. Atkinson’s class were challenged to apply their knowledge of fluid forces, buoyancy, and density to design and build a “boat” that could hold a 1kg mass for at least 30 seconds without sinking or taking on water. They were limited to using only basic household items and had a budget of $10 per group. Students did an amazing job with this project, not only having fun but also showing off all they have learned about physics!

"Legacy on Pine Street" - Clark Wingfield Recognized

Junior Clark Wingfield was recently recognized at the Arkansas Governor’s Mansion for his artwork “Legacy on Pine Street." Clark's artwork was selected from students all across the state based on the theme of Arkansas History. Congratulations, Clark on being honored!
