Back-to-School Open House Success!

We had an exciting day across our campuses as we welcomed families for Open House! 🎉 From Goza 5th Grade to AHS 9th Grade orientation, the halls were full of smiling faces ready for a fantastic year ahead. 🐾 A huge thank-you went out to our parents and guardians for supporting their child’s education, and to our teachers, administrators, and staff for preparing so well for this day.

TAG Groups Kicked Off the Year Strong!

The school year started off great! Last week, students met in their TAG groups during the RTI period. On Wednesday, Mrs. Sarah Brawley’s group worked on team building with the Pass the Clap icebreaker activity. 👏

TAG groups, which stay the same from 9th–12th grade, give students a steady home base each year. They provide advisors the opportunity to review school policies, share updates, and build strong relationships with their students. Let’s go, Badgers! 🐾

Local Legend Celebrated - Beverly Slavens

For fifty-seven years she’s lit the educational flame,
Guiding young voices to think, to proclaim.
In AP halls her wisdom rings true,
Raising scores, shaping futures, seeing them through.
Beyond the classroom her service shines bright,
Girls State, Quiz Bowl, and banquets of light.
Honoring scholars, she gives without end—
A teacher, a mentor, a champion, a friend.

Acorn Project

The Acorn Project provides food each weekend to students who may need it. It is a difference maker for our students. We appreciate Patterson Federal Credit Union and Nicole McGough for their vision to feed and support children in our community. Our employees were challenged to donate $12 a month to provide one food bag each weekend throughout the school year. We hope you are inspired to become involved with The Acorn Project by donating $12 a month (however, any and all donations are appreciated). All money donated to this program goes back to the students in the Arkadelphia School District.
