Ms. Delamar rewards good behavior

Delamar

Ms. Sandra DeLamar subbed for Mr. Ankton's social studies classes for a week in December, and was very impressed with the behavior of his second-period class. So much so, she decided they deserved some sort of reward. So, she gifted them all with a Christmas card and a crisp $2 bill. She told them they were an exemplary class and behaved as they should and she was very proud of them. We are grateful for these model-behavior students and our wonderful substitute teacher, Ms. DeLamar.

Mr. Kenneth Helms

Saying goodbye to Mr. Helms

Goza's students faculty, and staff, especially the 5th grade, said goodbye to Mr. Kenneth Helms, who retired at the end of the first semester.

Mr. Helms has been with the Arkadelphia School District for 26 years. He taught at Peake Elementary School prior to moving up the Goza with the fifth graders.

He is also a bus driver for the district, and continues to drive one.

He was presented with a cake on his last day, that was shared with all the 5th-grade students and teachers. Mrs. Mary Snowden, principal at Peake, stopped by to see him, too.

We wish you well in your retirement, Mr. Helms!
