What's Happening at Peake...

CKH Kids

Congratulations to these students for displaying RESPECT, our CKH Word of the Month for January.

Anna R., Millie M., Juliette O., Kaitlyn M and Wilder G. received CKH certificates for volunteering to pick up trash from our playground.

Kenya R. received a CKH certificate for volunteering to clean up supplies from each library table when she noticed they were “messy”.

We appreciate your thoughtfulness and RESPECT for our school in helping to keep it clean!

Math Masters

Coach Newman's GOAL classes focus on their math skills using Prodigy. Students answer math questions correctly to "earn points" for our school. Schools with enough points can earn prizes at the end of the year.

Platinum Tier- top 25% of schools  ($100,000)

Gold Tier- top 50% of schools ($10,000)

Silver Tier- top 75% of schools ($1,000)

Bronze Tier- Base camp (pizza party)

On January 15th, Peake was in 59th place in the state. As of this morning, our school is in 15th place!!

If we can move up 5 places by Friday, we will be in the top 25% of schools, and we will be eligible for the $100,000 prize!!

Coach Newman has challenged students to answer at least 10 questions correctly each day to help us reach our goal.

This is something your student could do at home. Each grade's code is listed below (1st-4th grades).

1st grade- 35C8E20

2nd grade- 7D89ECA

3rd grade- 91FBDB1

4th grade- F5D5F2A

Big thanks to Coach Newman for championing this program!

Physical Education

Ms. Hurst and Mrs. Newman would like to remind everyone that students must wear PE appropriate shoes on their PE day.

Appropriate shoes are: shoes with laces, Velcro, or elastic straps.

Boots, slip on shoes, Hey, Dudes, Jelly sandals/shoes, slides, sandals, crocs, dress shoes, shoes with a heel, and flip flops are not appropriate footwear on PE days.

To ensure the safety of all of our students, those without appropriate footwear will not be able to participate in that day's PE activity.

Please call if you have any questions. (870) 246-2260

Counselor's Corner

This week, guidance lessons will be focused on the word "respect."

The lessons will cover what respect means, why it's important, and how students can show respect in their daily lives. Activities will include role-playing scenarios, group discussions, and creating respect-themed projects.

The goal is to help students understand the value of respect and to encourage them to practice it both in and out of school.

Let's all work together to build a more respectful and positive school environment!
