We had a great time hosting dads last Friday! Thank you to everyone who made this event possible
Members of 4th grade GT participated in a chess tournament on Friday, December 1st. They did a great job and represented Peake so well! A big congratulations to Ledger Wiley for coming in 1st place out of 78 participants! Way to go, Ledger!
Students, let’s help grow the Grinch’s heart by showing acts of kindness. Students who show these acts will be entered into a drawing for a cool prize! The winner will be announced at the end of each day. Now let’s all go out and BE KIND!
-Ms. Snowden
Congratulations to Tris Ballance, Mason Price, Kayleigh Atkinson, Serenity Powell, and Everett White on winning Kindness Awards last week.

Ms. Ashley Whittle engaged her class with the question "If your teacher had 3 wishes, what do you think they would wish for?" All students who passed by her door had a chance to add their answer. Take a look at some of the responses below.
If your teacher had 3 wishes, what do you think they would wish for?
"1. A popsicle 2. A party with teachers 3. A ticket to a softball game"
"1. For students to be good 2. Go on a Vacation 3. For us (students) to be responsible"

Homeroom teachers will put the envelope in Mrs. Cotton’s mailbox. Checks will need to be made out to Peake Elementary School. Yearbooks are $25. Order by 12-21-23. LINKED YEARBOOK ORDER FORM
-Option 2: Scan the code and order and pay online.
Our students and staff focus on a different Word of the Month each month. This month the word is RESPONSIBILITY. Even though our students are in elementary, it is not too early to start giving them responsibility at home or at school. We want them to be prepared to succeed in the world, and every one will eventually have to take responsibility for something in life.
At Peake, teachers assign different roles to students in the classroom and encourage them to be responsible. Being a good listener, following directions, and picking up after themselves show responsibility on the student’s part.
Several students come to me and volunteer to help however I need them. They show concern for others by wanting to help. Being responsible citizens will always be a benefit to our students and to those around them. Parents, please keep encouraging your student to be a responsible person and discuss ways for them to show just how responsible they are. They can grow up making the world a better place.

Each week, the teachers are looking for students who exhibit the monthly character trait. Please chat at home about ways that these traits can be shown!
