Miss Henderson came to visit Mrs. Rodgers' class last week to talk about kindness!
In the library, students read “If I Built a House” by Chris Van Dusen. In this book, Jack imagines if he designed his own house. He has elaborate inventions, like his “all-in-one Kitchen-o-Mat” that does all of the cooking and cleaning, and his version of a shower the “Scrub-a-Dub-Dub” which uses a conveyor belt and robotic brushes to ensure you are clean.
What can you do at home:
-Ask your student to describe what their favorite room in Jack's"house" was, and have them tell you why.
-Ask your student to describe what the "house" they built looked like and what rooms were included.
-Describe what your "house" would look like or what rooms it would have.
-Create/sketch/design a "house" with your own futuristic ideas! Send a picture of it to Mrs. Pritchard at griffin.pritchard@arkadelphiaschools.org, and we will post some on Facebook and in our Newsletter!

Ms. Hurst and Mrs. Newman would like to remind everyone that students must wear PE appropriate shoes on their PE day.
Appropriate shoes are: shoes with laces, Velcro, or elastic straps.
Boots, slip on shoes, Hey, Dudes, Jelly sandals/shoes, slides, sandals, crocs, dress shoes, shoes with a heel, and flip flops are not appropriate footwear on PE days.
To ensure the safety of all of our students, those without appropriate footwear will not be able to participate in that day's PE activity.
Please call if you have any questions. (870) 246-2260
