When: Thursday, May 16th
Where: Peake Cafetorium
What: Student Showcase, featuring student work and performances inspired from around the world
The Specialists Team is planning an evening student showcase that will feature student work, presentations, and performances inspired by travel and different places in our world. We plan to incorporate literature, art, music, world records, and dance. Each grade level will have its own time to be featured (5:00 PM for 3rd, 6:15 PM for 4th, and 7:30 PM for 5th). We are planning for students to be involved in groups, so we need to know who will be available for this fun opportunity. Parents are responsible for transportation to and from Peake and students must be accompanied by an adult during the showcase. The Specialists Team will be organizing and directing the showcase. A form will be coming home in your child's folder. Please sign and return the form with your child to their homeroom teacher by Friday, April 19th so that we can include every child who wants to take part. THANK YOU for your support!
We still have some yearbooks available for $25 while supplies last. They can be purchased from Mrs. Cotton.
There are so many great things happening on campus in May. First, I hope all the moms got their RSVP turned in for Muffins with Mom! What a great way for our students to show off their amazing moms to their friends.
We also have an after-school event the May 16 where students will be able to show off the talents and skills with singing, artwork, and other fun activities. You should have received a form in Tuesday folders to let the teachers know if your child will be able to participate. We would love for all of our students to be involved with the showcase.
Finally, please encourage your students to keep turning in assignments. Some of them may think since Atlas Testing is over, they don’t need to stay engaged, but each assignment can make a difference on their semester grades. We have some special recognition for the All A and All A/B students and it would be great to hand them out to every Peake student. Thank you, parents!

Each week, the teachers are looking for students who exhibit the monthly character trait. Please chat at home about ways that these traits can be shown!
