Grandparents' Day is coming, and we want to celebrate the grandparents in our students' lives!
This year, Peake Elementary School will host a Grandparents' Parade. We welcome all grandparents to come, decorate their cars, and parade by Peake so we can celebrate you! While we are not hosting a breakfast this year, this will be a wonderful time for us to shower you with love and cheer! The route will be announced closer to our parade date. We can't wait to celebrate with you!
Communication folders come home every Tuesday.
Make sure your contact information is up to date with the office.
Looking for a way to get involved? Peake PTA will meet at 12:05 on the SECOND Monday of every month. Our first meeting will be Monday, September 9 at Peake in Room 207. We hope to see you there!
Ms. Hurst and Mrs. Newman would like to remind everyone that students must wear PE appropriate shoes on their PE day.
Appropriate shoes are: shoes with laces, Velcro, or elastic straps.
Boots, slip on shoes, Hey, Dudes, Jelly sandals/shoes, slides, sandals, crocs, dress shoes, shoes with a heel, and flip flops are not appropriate footwear on PE days.
To ensure the safety of all of our students, those without appropriate footwear will not be able to participate in that day's PE activity.
Please call if you have any questions. (870) 246-2260

Parents/caregivers of car riders: thank you for your help in implementing Dashpass! Here are a couple of reminders:
You do not need to let Dashpass know if you have a walker or if you are checking a student out.
Please do not report absences to Dashpass.
The queue opens at 1:30. As soon as you arrive, queue your student. Do not wait.
You cannot queue until you turn right onto Peake Street.
If your queue your student late and they are not in our holding area, you will be asked to pull around.
Please have you student's name displayed clearly so that those on duty can clearly see who you are there to pick up.
Please follow the directions on the STOP sign. For student and teacher safety, the cars should not move until the STOP sign changes to SLOW.
As we step into September, Suicide Awareness Month, it's a poignant reminder for us all to practice kindness towards ourselves and others.
This month, our focus word is empathy—a powerful tool that helps us understand and support each other more deeply. Throughout the month, I will continue to provide both direct and indirect sessions to ensure everyone has the support they need.
Warm regards,
De'Shae Craig
