Ms. Cornelius, Ms. Fogerty and Ms. King were awarded the Lifesaver Award by Ms. Snowden for their hard work and commitment they provided to Peake! Ms. King and Ms. Fogerty stepped in as long term substitutes, and Ms. Cornelius provided unwavering support for Ms. Fogerty during her time in Music. Thank you, ladies!

Veterans Day Celebration

Mrs. Robertson's, Mrs. Rodgers's, and Mrs. Talley's classes had fun learning about Veterans Day and what it really means. They read, wrote thank you letters and poems, and even learned a short song. They also honored their very own classroom grandmother and Veteran, Mrs. Booker!

Celebrating World Kindness Day

In recognition of World Kindness Day, Ms. Snowden and Ms. Clark extended kindness by providing donuts and juice to all Peake staff as a thank you for everything they do for our school and students each day. Peake students also passed out kindness cards and peppermints to parents in our car rider line.

Ouachita Baptist Students Perform "Cendrillon"

Dr. Maggie Garrett and the cast of Cendrillon performed some of their songs for the Kindergarten and 1st Grade classes today. Cendrillon is the true story of Cinderella, confirmed when a packet of letters from a historic German Queen was found that supported in every way the details of the Cinderella fairy tale.

Fire Safety Talks!

The Arkadelphia Fire Chief came to Peake Elementary School to teach students about fire safety. Firefighter Blake Dybala dressed to impress in his firefighting gear. Students were mesmerized and learned all about the dangers of "playing with fire" as well as how to keep themselves safe.

Dawson Chess Tournament

Arkadelphia showed out at the Dawson Coop Chess Tournament. Fourth grade: Lucas and Graham tied with one other for 2nd place. Vivian got 3rd, and Ester tied with 4 others for 4th out of 40 students. We are so proud of these kiddos.

Capturing Kids' Hearts

For the month of November, we focused on the Word of the Month, Teamwork. Teamwork happens when a group of people trust each other and work together to reach a goal. The Kindergarten team were recognized at the November Board Meeting for showing great teamwork!
