What's Happening at Peake... |
Celebrating World Kindness Day! |
Ms. Craig, one of our school counselors, sponsored an activity for World Kindness Day where the students got to express their wishes for kindness using chalk. This activity lasted all week with pictures of the students' artwork featured on the Morning Show at Peake each morning. Our school gave a special shout out to all the parents who donated chalk, Brenda Collins, and Walmart for the donations that made this event possible. |

Spotlight On America Musical |
The Third Grade students presented the musical "Spotlight on America". Each group consisted of three classes and presented their musical twice: once during the day for fellow students and at a nighttime performance for families. |

To celebrate the 67th day of school, teachers and staff participated in "Underground 67 Day"! We wore shirts involving the numbers "6" and "7" while students were kept in the dark until they caught on, boosting morale and creating fun inside jokes. It was hilarious to see students' faces as the adults passed each other in the hallways with the ever-infamous "SIX-SEVENNNNN"! |

The Bear Went Over the Mountain Musical |
|
|
Our spirited 2nd graders brought “The Bear Went Over the Mountain” to life in a performance that brimmed with curiosity and courage. Through cheerful songs and lively storytelling, the students followed the bear’s classic trek beyond the familiar hillside. The musical became more than a playful tale. It unfolded as a gentle symbol of journey and freedom, showing how stepping into the unknown can open doors to adventure and new experiences. |

Students in Mrs. Erika Penfield's class was rewarded with Pizza With the Police. This class exemplified the CKH Word of the Month, TEAMWORK, and was chosen by Ms. Snowden to receive the party. A BIG thank you goes out to our school SROs, members of the Arkadelphia Police Department who show up each month, and Patterson Federal Credit Union for sponsoring the pizza. It is always a special time that students look forward to. |

"Awesome Science" Visits Peake |
|
|
The Museum of Discovery in Little Rock provided a hands-on science experience to our 4th graders. Students enjoyed interactive exhibits focused on physics, engineering, nature, and technology. A signature program, Awesome Science, features visually impressive experiments—such as vortex demonstrations and cryogenic effects—that spark curiosity and make scientific concepts exciting and accessible for students. Awesome Science supports classroom learning and engaged our students through hands-on exploration and STEM experiences. |
