GREAT Things Are Happening at Peake!

Great Kindness Challenge Week

Our school proudly participated in The Great Kindness Challenge, a week-long national program dedicated to creating a culture of kindness and compassion in communities worldwide. To help our students practice kindness and put their compassion into action, they each received a Great Kindness Challenge checklist. Students were encouraged to complete as many acts of kindness as possible at school and at home. Students also enjoyed Kindness Dress Up Days, a fun way to commemorate the week. We are also proud to say that APSD is a certified Great Kindness Challenge District!

4th Grade Spelling Bee

These 4th graders placed in their classroom spelling bee and competed in their grade-level spelling bee on January 31st. 4th-8th graders compete in the Scripps Level Spelling Bee, so this level of competition is more difficult than years past.

3rd Place- Angina T., Rashad W., Jordan J., Blair W., Addalyn C.

School Winners will go on to compete in the Clark County Spelling Bee.

Capturing Kids Hearts

Congratulations to these students for displaying RESPECT, our CKH Word of the Month for January.

Anna R., Millie M., Juliette O., Kaitlyn M and Wilder G. received CKH certificates for volunteering to pick up trash from our playground.

Kenya R. received a CKH certificate for volunteering to clean up supplies from each library table when she noticed they were “messy”.

We appreciate your thoughtfulness and RESPECT for our school in helping to keep it clean!
