At Peake, we follow a CKH model of interaction and relationship-building strategies; the EXCEL model. Teachers and staff in our building follow this example and leads our students to the same model. The recognition of a Capturing Kids’ Hearts National Showcase Schools® award serves as a testament to the commitment held by the campus community to foster a positive and nurturing learning environment.

We began using an automated car rider dismissal program called DashPass. DashPass provides a safe and efficient car line to our campus . Students are only released when their authorized ride is at school, preventing overcrowding and other behavior/weather related problems. We have also been able to reduce car rider dismissal time by as much as 10 minutes!

We celebrated our moms and other specially chosen females this month at our annual Muffins with Moms. We had a great turnout and guests enjoyed delicious pastries provided by Chartwell's.

ATLAS Summative State Assessment

Peake students completed three days of state testing in the content areas of reading, math and science. At the end of each day's testing, we drew names for prizes for students who 1). were present and on time each day; 2) worked the whole time; and 3) displayed model behavior throughout the whole day. Three students, one from each grade level, won the GRAND PRIZE award...$50 Wal-Mart gift cards donated by Patterson Federal Credit Union!
