Peake Celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month

Celebrated from Sept. 15 to Oct. 15, Hispanic Heritage Month recognizes and honors the histories, cultures, and peoples that make up the varied, powerful, and beautiful Latin communities throughout our nation. Mrs. Crow, our ESOL interventionist visited classrooms and read "Your Name Is a Song", a book to remind all of us about the beauty, history, and magic behind names, to our students.

Southwest Chevrolet Buick GMC recently presented the Peake Elementary School PTA with a generous $5,000 donation as part of the Chevrolet Back to School Program. The initiative, established in 2021, provides one-time funding for parent-teacher associations (and similar organizations) to assist with the purchase of supplies, aid for ongoing projects and support appreciation efforts for educators in the school community. Presenting the check to Principal Mary Snowden and Hannah Seaton of the Peake PTA is Matt Robbins of Southwest Chevrolet Buick GMC. Our students thank you so much for your generosity!
