Mrs. Forthman’s Kindergarten class recently explored artful movement to music with streamers. The kindergarten students always work to be tuneful, artful, and beautiful in their Music class with Mrs. Cornelius.
Celebrating Dot Day
This event was a HUGE success! Thank you to all the dads and father-figures who attended. We appreciate your time and investment into our students' futures!
Peake students, staff and several community members participated in See You at The Pole. See You at the Pole (SYATP) is an annual event in which Christian students gather for prayer at their school’s flagpole to pray for their families, friends, churches, and communities. Participants prayed over our school, its safety, and for our students and staff. Included in this event was also prayer for our community, nation, and our world.

PAWS represents the behaviors we want all our students to achieve at Peake. Ms. Snowden had the honor of recognizing Ms. Sophia M. for receiving the very first Principal’s PAWS certificate! Sophia was nominated by school counselor, Ms. Craig, for being a leader, working hard, and showing respect. Way to go, Sophia!
Congratulations to Ja’Marious Hadley for displaying EMPATHY, our CKH Word of the Month for September. Ja’Marious was recognized by his teacher, Mrs. Forthman. She said, “Ja’Marious showed empathy when he saw a classmate having a hard time getting a notebook put away. He stepped right in and showed his classmate a way to make it easier.” Thank you, Ja’Marious, for being a CKH classmate!
We will lead with positivity, valuing and empowering staff and students.
We will collaborate effectively within our teams to effectively meet the needs of ALL our students.
We will frequently assess students and use that data to drive our instruction and interventions.
We will create a culture that fosters a safe learning environment.
We will use our HQIM to deliver high quality, grade-level content to ALL students.
This month, we are focusing on the Word of the Month, Self-Direct. Self-direction is when a person chooses to do things but also considers the consequences and context of his/her actions. In the teaching of this word through Leadworthy lessons, teachers are reporting that students are better managing their behavior.
