In honor of National Grandparents' Day, Peake celebrated our grands with a special day! Grandparents were able to enjoy a terrific breakfast, provided by Chartwell's, with their student as well as shop at our book fair. We had a huge number in attendance and saw lots of smiling faces. Mrs. Griffin Pritchard, our Parental Engagement Coordinator, did an outstanding job putting this event together.

District PLC Day 1

All of our content and grade level teams met on September 6th for our first District PLC Day. Grade level teams met to discuss proficiency scales and SMART goals for upcoming CFAs (common formative assessments). Specialists and paraprofessionals worked together to gather or create learning materials they would need for their intervention/extension times. These times correlate with the standards being taught during Tier 1 instruction.

Keep America Beautiful Campaign

Partnering with our Arkadelphia community, Peake 3rd graders enjoyed a presentation and poster contest by the Keep Arkansas Beautiful campaign. Students learned about recycling and the importance of not littering. There was also a special guest appearance from Otto the Otter, the campaign's mascot! Students also participated in a poster contest. The top five posters were chosen, and each winner received a pizza gift card!
