Perritt Primary Kindergartners Roar
in "Welcome to the Jungle" Musical!

The young stars of Perritt Primary School wowed audiences with their delightful performance of "Welcome to the Jungle!" The kindergarten students put on their musical extravaganza with big smiles and even bigger talent.

The school cafeteria was transformed into a jungle paradise, with colorful decorations setting the stage for the young performers. Parents, families, teachers, and community members filled the seats, eager to see what the talented kindergartners had in store.

As the curtains rose, the audience was greeted by a chorus of excited voices singing the opening song, "Jambo: Welcome to the Jungle!" The students, dressed in adorable animal costumes, danced, and sang their hearts out, filling the room with energy and laughter.

The musical is the retelling of Aesop's Fable, "The Lion & The Mouse", which teaches that love and kindness are never wasted. From swinging monkeys to trumpeting elephants, each character brought their own unique personality to the stage.

The kindergartners worked hard to prepare for their big performance, practicing their lines and dance moves with Mrs. Webb and their classroom teachers for weeks leading up to the show. Their dedication and enthusiasm were evident in every moment of the musical, as they brought the jungle to life with their infectious energy.

The audience couldn't help but clap and cheer as the kindergartners took their final bows, proud of their accomplishment and excited for future performances to come. The "Welcome to the Jungle!" musical was truly a night to remember, showcasing the incredible talent and spirit of the young students here at Perritt Primary School.

Farm Day Celebration Courtesy of Community Partners Farm Bureau and UADA Clark County 4H

Perritt Primary had an awesome day celebrating Farm Day on April 10th! Representatives from Farm Bureau came to share a super fun book called "Ragweed's Farm Dog Handbook" by Anne Vittur Kennedy. It's all about a farm dog who has lots of adventures! But that's not all - they also brought along a petting zoo just for students to enjoy!

At the petting zoo, students got to meet so many cute animals! There was a big, friendly cow, fluffy rabbits hopping around, playful goats, and even a cute piggy snuffling around. Students got to pet them and learn all about farm animals up close.

Farm Day was a blast at Perritt Primary. We had a great time reading about farm life and getting to meet all the animals. It was a day full of smiles, laughs, and lots of furry friends!

Paving the Path to Perseverance: Empowering Students to Achieve Their Goals

In our counseling sessions, we're diving into the power of perseverance. Setting our sights on success, we're exploring how to overcome hurdles and stay motivated along the way.

We kick off our discussions by highlighting the vital role perseverance plays in reaching our dreams. Together, we'll chat about goal-setting strategies, tactics for conquering challenges, and the fuel needed to keep our motivation burning bright.

In our one-on-one sessions and small groups, students will get hands-on with their aspirations. Through visualization exercises, they'll map out their goals and chart the steps needed to reach them. We'll roll up our sleeves and dive into role-playing scenarios, sharpening problem-solving skills and cultivating resilience in the face of adversity.

These activities aren't just about learning—they're about living. Students will reflect on their own journeys of perseverance, sharing their experiences with the class and gaining insights from their peers. Together, we'll forge strategies to tackle obstacles head-on, armed with the knowledge that setbacks are just stepping stones to success.

And as their guide on this journey, I'll be there with a toolkit of resources. From inspiring books to uplifting videos and insightful articles, we'll uncover stories of triumph and tenacity that prove no dream is too big and no challenge too tough to overcome.

Students in 2nd Grade Complete Exciting Project on the Human Body

In an exciting culmination of their studies, second-grade students have completed a fascinating exploration into the intricate workings of the human body. Over the past few weeks, these budding young scientists have delved into various systems that make up our bodies, such as the circulatory, respiratory, and digestive systems as part of their Language Arts curriculum.

Throughout the unit, students engaged in hands-on learning experiences and conducted research to deepen their understanding of how these systems function. Armed with newfound knowledge, they collaborated in teams to construct detailed models representing the systems they had studied.
